Natural pet food brand Scrumpf launched a new air-dried range, two complete meals (Air-Dried Goat and Air-Dried Venison) plus a Venison Terrine topper, and opened UK trade ordering through its own webshop and Faire.
The products debuted at Interzoo in Germany earlier this year, where the brand attracted interest from international buyers, the company said.
The format and the protein choices
The goat line targets dogs with sensitivities and is rich in essential amino acids, Scrumpf said. The venison product is positioned as supporting energy levels and vitality. Both are complete meals in a granola-style format the company describes as nutrient-dense, meaning a smaller serving delivers the nutrition.
The Venison Terrine launched alongside as a moisture-rich complementary food topper.
The goat angle and the sensitivity buyer
Goat is the differentiation move here. It gives a buyer running rotation diets a novel option without adding a new brand relationship, assuming Scrumpf already has velocity in the store.
The amino acid claim on the goat formula is the kind of thing a buyer uses in the aisle when a customer asks what makes it different from the venison they tried last month.

What the Interzoo debut and the Faire listing tell you
The Interzoo debut signals the brand is pitching beyond the UK, which matters if you are a buyer in a market Scrumpf does not yet serve. The Faire listing lowers the barrier for a single-location store testing the line without committing to a pallet buy or a direct account.
What we do not know: pricing, case pack, minimum order, or whether any chain or regional distributor has committed to stock it. Those gaps make it hard to model the margin or compare it to the air-dried SKUs already on your shelf.
Our read: the format move matters more than the protein
Another natural brand crossed into air-dried, a format we'd watch. If air-dried is already moving in your sensitivity set and Scrumpf has existing velocity in your store, the format extension is an easy yes. If Scrumpf is new to you, the lack of pricing and distribution detail makes this one to watch rather than one to order today.
The goat protein is a nice differentiator for rotation diets, but whether the smaller serving size the company claims actually translates to better per-feeding economics for the customer is an open question. That's worth raising with the rep when they call.
